Plasma Fibroblast
One of our most common skin complaints is fine lines and wrinkles in troublesome, hard to reach areas. Some areas of the face and body cannot always be treated with services such as anti-wrinkle injections or dermal fillers. This is when fibroblast or plasma treatments step in and take over.
Plasma fibroblast treatments targets fibroblast cells. These are collagen– and protein-producing cells in the dermis, the layer of skin just below your outermost skin layer.
Fibroblasts play an important role in helping skin wounds heal as well as maintaining skin firmness and tightness.
Plasma fibroblast therapy uses a pen-like device that discharges a high-frequency electric current to small areas of the skin.
The plasma tip doesn’t directly touch the skin, but instead releases a targeted current just above the skin. The hot current creates small holes, or micro-injuries, in the skin’s layer. The skin is then almost tricked into believing there is a wound above and the healing process of the skin begins to occur. Collagen and fibroblast cells are boosted, and scars/injuries remodelled to help tighten the skin.
